The Children’s Garden Festival will take place in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, near Fillmore & N. Parade, celebrating the beauty and attractions of fall gardens. At this festival, children and families can learn about planting bulbs, composting, fall fruits and vegetables, and how they can be good environmental stewards in their own neighborhoods.
There will be free food, giveaways, children’s bike repairs, games, music, entertainment, and environmental, horticultural and garden-related educational activities with a goal of bringing neighbors together.
You are invited to volunteer at the Children's Garden Festival!
You can volunteer at MLK Park for one shift or multiple during the festival on October 8, 2023 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm!
Volunteers can help set up. Tasks will include helping educators, monitoring bounce houses, or operating the cotton candy and popcorn machines. Please note that while we will try to honor the volunteer task you select, we may have to move you to another task as needs arise.
The festival will take place Martin Luther King, Jr. Park--near the playground/tennis court/green house. This event is rain or shine, so come prepared for the weather.
