Stitch Buffalo is seeking volunteers to assist in the preparation of supplies for our Refugee women artists, community classes, and other tasks in and around the studio. It is helpful to have some experience with the tools and techniques used in fiber arts (sewing, knitting/crochet, embroidery, etc.) but you do not need to be an expert.
We are primarily seeking people with availability on weekday mornings and afternoons. We do not require a fixed schedule or commitment to a minimum number of hours, but appreciate volunteers who are able to be with us at least once a month for a 3-4 hour shift.
Stitch Buffalo is an inclusive space for Refugee and Immigrant women to create handcrafted goods and find economic empowerment. Volunteers should be prepared to work among a diverse group of people in an energetic, fast-paced environment where many languages are spoken.
