The holidays can be difficult for the WNY children, youth and their families battling serious mental health challenges being admitted to WNYCPC. Many of our youth have been severely traumatized whether they have been bullied, sexually and emotionally abused, neglected, abandoned, and/or experiencing the beginning stage of mental illness. They enter WNYCPC upon admission feeling worthless and without hope. This can be true of those receiving intensive psychiatric services the WNYCPC's Community Services Programs.
Can you, your co-workers, community groups, church members, etc.. help our vulnerable children, youth and their families (if they have families) by donating new gifts that WNYCPC's Santa will distribute to our amazing children, youth and their families.
The Western New York Psychiatric Center (WNYCPC) is a 24 hour intermediate inpatient hospital providing psychiatric care for approximately 46 children and youth (ages four - 18 years old) from 19 WNY counties.
In addition, another additional 800 children, youth, and their families battling serious mental health challenges receive outpatient services through WNYCPC's Community Services programs. These programs are located in Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Monroe and several other WNY counties.
We are in need of new items to be given out to WNYCPC inpatients & their families as well as community outpatients & their families. Children with no family contact can have a wonderfully Christmas as well as very needy families. By helping our WNYCPC Santa, you and your family, friends, etc.. can make a difference to brighten their holidays and give them hope for a better future.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to help our children, youth and families!!
