Who We Are

The Mission of the Center for Elder Law and Justice is to improve the quality of life for older, disabled, and low-income adults through the provision of free legal services, primarily in Western New York. Our goal is to use the legal system to ensure that our clients may live independently and with dignity.

What We Do

The Money Management Program at the Center for Elder Law & Justice connects volunteers with independent adults age 60+ in their neighborhood. Volunteers help with basic tasks like opening mail, budgeting, and reading and paying bills, supporting older adults’ ability to remain safely and independently in their homes.

The Center for Elder Law & Justice provides volunteer training, background checks, and full staff support every step of the way. Volunteers can create flexible schedules that fit their availability. No prior financial experience is needed—just a willingness to help others.

If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, we’d love to have you join us!
