- My service unit's World Thinking Day event. This year's theme is: "Our World, Our Equal Future: The Environment and Gender Equality," with activities that focus on climate change, water access and issues, and the importance of trees (as part of the Girl Scouts Tree Promise). I was wondering if any student groups involved in STEM fields or environmental issues (or maybe the social justice houses) who need service hours who might be interested in helping out? We have program materials to use (science experiments and resources) so it would be a matter of staffing the rotating stations and helping to run the activities. The event will be held on Feb. 24, 6:30-7:30 at Starpoint Middle School, and we usually have 30-40 girls.
