This 5K run/walk is a local chapter of the run started in NYC by the Stephen Siller Foundation. Their foundation aims to build smart homes for paraplegic and quadriplegic veterans, and honors police, fire, EMS, and other first responded throughout the country. Last year, in our inaugural race, we raised over $10,000 for the foundation, with over 500 runners and walkers participating. We hope to make this year's run/walk even bigger; our efforts are not possible without the help of volunteers.
The Buffalo race will be held on Saturday, September 9 and is being held at Bellevue Fire Hall/Losson Park in Cheektowaga. We are looking for volunteer assistance between 7:00 and 11:00 a.m.

Specifically, we are looking for volunteers to assist with:
- 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. - Sign and Race Set-Up (Assist with display of 400+ signs on race route)
- 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Parking Assistance (Help place cars in nearby lots and direct to spots near route)
- 8:00 - 11:00 - Race Route Assistance (Traffic, Intersections, Water Stations, Start and Finish Line Assistance)
