Description

Volunteers play a pivotal role in the fundraising activities that make the work of the Alzheimer's Association, WNY Chapter possible.

The Longest Day is a team event on June 20 to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Held annually on summer solstice, the duration of this event symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with the disease and their caregivers. Teams create their own experience as they fundraise and participate in an activity to honor those facing the disease.

The WNY Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will coach teams in shaping their fundraising efforts, planning their activity(ies) for the Longest Day and creating a plan to inspire all team members.

In addition to the Longest Day and the Walk to End Alzheimer's, there are various other community events in which the chapter is invited to participate (e.g.Buffalo Marathon, Run Jimmy Run, Wingfest, etc.).     Please call 1-800-272-3900 or see our website http://www.alz.org/wny for details on these events.

Commitment varies depending on event and tasks.
